New Game Pass highlights: South of Midnight, Commandos: Origins and more land this April
There are a bunch of great games hitting Game Pass this month, and whether you’re into co-op chaos, horror on the high seas or genre-bending adventures, there’s a little something for everyone. Let’s break down what’s coming and when.
Available April 3:
Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition (Cloud, Console, PC)

Gearbox’s loot-filled shooter arrives with the full Ultimate Edition in tow. That means the base game, all four campaign expansions, Director’s Cut content, and a pile of cosmetic packs. Whether you’re a returning Vault Hunter or diving in for the first time, expect big guns, bigger explosions, and that classic Borderlands humour.
All You Need is Help (Console)

Looking for something a bit more wholesome? This quirky multiplayer co-op puzzle game stars cube-shaped fluffballs who need to work together to reach their goals. It’s colourful, family-friendly fun that spans generations.
Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X|S)
- Now with Game Pass Standard
Developed by The Chinese Room (Dear Esther, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture), this is one for the horror fans. You’re stranded on a crumbling oil rig in the middle of the North Sea, being hunted by an unspeakable horror. Atmospheric and story-driven, this one looks properly chilling.
Wargroove 2 (Console)
- Now with Game Pass Standard
Turn-based tactics fans, rejoice. Wargroove 2 brings more commanders, a new story campaign, and powerful new abilities into the mix. Plus, it has full support for user-generated content, so expect custom maps and campaigns galore.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Console, PC)

Hell opens once again with Diablo III making its way to Game Pass. This edition includes the full base game and the Reaper of Souls expansion, so whether you’re looking to slay demons solo or team up in couch co-op, there’s a whole lot of loot waiting.
South of Midnight (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S)

Landing day one on Game Pass, South of Midnight is a narrative-driven action adventure set in a beautifully eerie Deep South. You’ll explore, fight creepy creatures, and learn to wield ancient weaver magic. If the stunning visuals don’t grab you, the soundtrack might – this one sounds seriously special.

Commandos: Origins (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S)

Also launching day one, this tactical stealth game takes the series back to its roots. You’ll control a team of specialists in World War II-era missions, sneaking, sabotaging, and strategizing your way through enemy lines. There’s also two-player co-op for tactical takedowns with a friend.
Available April 10:
Blue Prince (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S)

Room 46 awaits. This surreal architectural puzzler lets you build and explore an ever-shifting mansion, one room at a time. You’ve only got one in-game day to reach the mysterious Room 46, but each loop reveals more secrets.
Coming April 15:
Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PC)

Already available on PC Game Pass and making its way to consoles soon, Hunt: Showdown 1896 is a new spin on Crytek’s tough-as-nails extraction shooter. Face off against nightmarish monsters and other bounty hunters in a gritty new setting. Risk it all – or lose it all.
Looks like April is shaping up to be another busy month for Game Pass. Better start clearing that backlog…
