If you’ve ever wanted to cause chaos as a bird, Just Crow Things is here to scratch that oddly specific itch. Following its debut on Xbox, Switch and PC last year, the game has now landed on PlayStation, inviting even more players to embrace their inner avian anarchist.

Like Untitled Goose Game and Big City, Little Kitty, Just Crow Things thrives on absurdity. Across a series of short, themed levels, you’re given a checklist of oddball tasks: spray-paint postboxes, place frogs on clouds to summon rainfall, race through rings, and, of course, poop on people’s heads. There’s even a dedicated poop button, and yes, different foods change what comes out. Chilli pepper? Flaming poop. Enough said.

Each level drops you into a new environment, from Japanese suburbs to the Egyptian pyramids, and completing objectives earns you points. Hit the threshold and you can move on, though you’re free to stick around and keep messing about. Some challenges are straightforward, while others lean into light puzzle-solving or scavenger hunts.

The gameplay loop is fun, if a little chaotic. Flying, walking and general crow mischief all feel snappy and responsive, and while the visuals are modest and clearly on a budget, the charm shines through. There’s an infectious silliness that makes it easy to forgive the occasional janky animation or rough edge.

That said, this isn’t a game you’ll want to binge for hours on end. The variety starts to wear thin in long sessions, but dipped into one level at a time, it’s just the right dose of bird-brained fun. It’s the perfect palate cleanser: no pressure, just playful mayhem.
