Duck Detective: The Secret Salami waddles its way to mobile

If you missed it when it landed on PC last year, now’s your chance to finally experience the feathered charm of Duck Detective: The Secret Salami. The cozy mystery game from indie studio Happy Broccoli Games has just launched on iOS and Android, and it’s free to try with a one-off payment to unlock the full game.

Originally released on Steam to “overwhelmingly positive” reviews and heaps of praise, Duck Detective stars Eugene McQuacklin – a down-on-his-luck duck who also happens to be a detective. With your help, he’ll interrogate suspects, snoop through evidence, and put those de-duck-tive skills to the test to crack a very meaty mystery.

It’s got everything you want from a mystery game: suspects with secrets, crime scenes to scour, clues to piece together, and yes – a dedicated button to quack. Critics and players alike have quacked over that particular detail, and honestly, we get it.

Visually, the game blends cute and quirky perfectly, with a hand-drawn style and anthropomorphic cast that makes it feel part Aggretsuko, part noir detective romp. It’s all fully voice-acted, features some gentle puzzle-solving, and clocks in at a digestible 2–3 hours. Perfect for a few commutes, or just a cozy evening under a blanket.

And if mobile isn’t your thing, Duck Detective: The Secret Salami is also available on Steam and Nintendo Switch.

Quack if you’re ready to solve a crime. Or, you know, just download it.
